Free Play, Saves, Credits, and Plans
The short version
You can start making and playing photo puzzles in Jigsawify for free. You do not need to choose a plan just to test the main workflow.
Sign-in usually appears when you want to save a puzzle, keep a share link, use AI generation, or manage account-based features. Credits and plans matter only when you use features that need saved records, larger capacity, or paid AI resources.
What is free
In the basic photo flow, you can:
- Upload a supported image
- Choose a piece count
- Start playing in the browser
- Try the workflow before deciding whether you need saving or paid features
If you only want to test the workflow, start with Create Puzzle.
What saving means
Saving is not the same as playing. Playing is the immediate browser experience. Saving creates a reusable puzzle record.
That saved record can be used for things like returning to the puzzle later or creating a stable link for someone else. Because a saved record needs to belong somewhere, sign-in may be required at this step.
For the step-by-step save flow, see How to Save and Share a Puzzle in Jigsawify.
How save limits work
Save limits apply to new saved records. They do not mean the basic puzzle player stops working.
If you hit the limit:
- You can still keep playing for free
- You just cannot create additional saved records until you unlock more capacity
- Jigsawify will show the available options when you try to save
If you want to compare plans, see Pricing.
How AI credits work
AI generation is separate from photo upload. With photo upload, you bring the image. With AI, Jigsawify helps create the image first.
Because AI uses paid image-generation resources, it usually requires:
- Sign-in
- Credits
That is why AI actions are shown separately from the free photo-play path.
When plans matter
Plans matter when you want more of the features that depend on saved records, share capacity, or AI usage.
If you are only trying the main puzzle flow, do not start with the plan page. Make a puzzle first. A plan is more relevant when you already know you want to keep more puzzles, share them more often, or use AI generation regularly.
Common misunderstandings
- Free play means you can try the main photo puzzle workflow without paying first
- Saving creates a record; it is not required for a quick test
- A share link usually needs a saved record behind it
- AI uses credits because it creates new images
- You only need a plan when you want the features tied to that plan
