What Happens When I Save a Puzzle in Jigsawify?
Saving a puzzle is what turns a one-time puzzle into something you can keep, share, and come back to later.
Here is the short version:
- You can play without saving.
- You need sign-in to save.
- Saving creates a reusable record and can generate a share link.
- If you hit the save quota, you can still keep playing for free.
What saving gives you
When you save a puzzle, you usually get:
- A persistent puzzle record
- A stable link you can share
- A way to return to the puzzle later
This is different from just playing the puzzle in the browser.
When sign-in is required
Sign-in is required when you want to save the puzzle record.
It is also required for AI generation, so the account keeps the purchased or used features tied to the same user.
What happens if you hit the save limit
If your save quota is used up:
- You can still play puzzles for free
- You just cannot keep saving new records until you unlock more save capacity
- The save dialog will explain what changed and what options are available
If you want to see the current plan options, go to Plans.
That is why the limit is shown at the save step instead of interrupting normal play.
Typical save flow
- Finish or pause the puzzle
- Open the save dialog
- Sign in if needed
- Save the puzzle record
- Copy the share link if you want to send it to someone else
What saving is not
Saving is not the same as:
- Starting a puzzle
- Playing a puzzle without an account
- Exporting a printable file
Those are separate workflows.
Best practice
If you only want to try the puzzle, do not worry about saving yet.
If you want to keep the puzzle, share it, or come back to it later, save it after you are done creating it.
