About Jigsawify
Jigsawify is a browser-based jigsaw puzzle tool built to help you start from an image, play in the browser, and only think about saving, sharing, printable output, or AI when you actually need them.
Built by a solo developer
Jigsawify is created and maintained by Reake—one person handling code, design, and support
Free to start
You can start with the photo workflow before deciding whether saving, sharing, or AI matter
Separate workflows
Photo upload, AI image generation, printable workflows, and SVG / DXF export stay clearly separated
Self-funded
No venture capital, no investor pressure—product decisions are driven by user feedback, not growth metrics
The Story Behind Jigsawify
Jigsawify started in late 2024 as a weekend project. I (Reake) was looking for a way to turn family vacation photos into puzzles I could share with relatives overseas. Every tool I found was either a desktop app that required installation, a service that charged per puzzle before you could even see if the image worked, or a toy that maxed out at 20 pieces.
I wanted something simple: upload a photo, pick a difficulty, and play immediately in the browser. If the puzzle was good, share a link. If not, try a different photo. No commitment upfront.
The first version took about three weeks to build. I shared it with a few friends who are teachers, and they immediately asked for printable output—they wanted paper puzzles for classroom activities without paying per-student licensing fees. That feedback shaped the printable workflow.
Since then, Jigsawify has grown into a set of connected tools: photo-to-puzzle for casual play, AI generation for when you need an image you don't have, a puzzle generator for SVG/DXF export (laser cutters and CNC), and printable workflows for offline use. Each tool exists because a real user asked for it, not because I planned a feature matrix in advance.
What Jigsawify Is
Jigsawify helps you turn an image into a puzzle without installing desktop software. The main path is simple on purpose: upload a photo, choose a difficulty, and start playing in the browser.
- Start from a photo when you already have an image
- Use AI generation when you need the image first
- Use printable or SVG workflows when you need different output formats
Operator Information
Jigsawify is an independent software project created and operated by Reake. Product development, support, billing, and refund requests are handled directly through Jigsawify. The project is self-funded and does not rely on venture capital or advertising revenue to operate.
Who It Is For
Jigsawify is useful for casual players, families, classrooms, creators, and maker workflows, but not every user needs the same tool.
- Casual users usually start with photo-based play in the browser
- Teachers and families often prefer printable activities
- Creators may want stable links and saved records
- Maker workflows may need SVG or DXF export instead of browser play
What Is Free, and What Is Paid
The product is designed so the first step stays simple. You can try the main puzzle experience first. Saving, sharing, and AI use are treated separately because they create reusable records or consume paid resources.
- The photo-to-puzzle path is free to start
- Saving and sharing matter when you want a stable record or link
- AI generation uses credits because it is a separate workflow
- Plans matter when you want more save/share capacity or recurring paid access
What Jigsawify Is Not
Jigsawify is a browser-based software product. It is not a marketplace, and it is not a physical goods store.
Some workflows support printable or export-friendly output. Unless a page explicitly says otherwise, Jigsawify does not sell or ship physical puzzle products.
