How Jigsawify Works
Start with the right workflow
Jigsawify has more than one path because the product is built around one main workflow and a few clearer specialist branches.
- Use photo upload when you already have an image and want to start playing quickly
- Use printable flow when you need a paper activity
- Use AI flow when you need to generate the image first
- Use the generator when you need SVG or maker-oriented output

What happens in your browser
For the main photo-to-puzzle path, Jigsawify keeps the puzzle experience lightweight in the browser.
That means you can usually upload an image, choose a difficulty, and start playing without a long setup process. If you only want to try a puzzle, you do not need to save it first.
When data is uploaded
Image data is only uploaded when a workflow needs it, such as saving, sharing, publishing, or AI generation.
If you are just creating and playing in the browser, Jigsawify can stay in the fast path. If you choose to save or share, Jigsawify stores the puzzle data needed to make that reusable record or link work later.
How saving and sharing work
Saving turns a one-session puzzle into a reusable record.
When you save, you can usually get:
- A stable link
- A saved record you can return to later
- A way to share the puzzle with other people
For the step-by-step save and share flow, see How to Save and Share a Puzzle in Jigsawify.
When sign-in is required
Sign-in is required when you want to save a puzzle record or use AI generation.
If you are only trying the main photo-play workflow, sign-in is usually not the first step. It becomes relevant when you want saved records, share links, or account-based AI usage tied to the same place.
How AI is different
AI generation is a separate workflow from photo upload.
Use it when you need the image first, not just the puzzle. AI generation also uses sign-in and credits, which is why it is treated differently from the basic photo path.
